The funding donated to us by the 1910 Trust has enabled the club to purchase cricket bags and equipment for the All Stars winter and summer programmes. We have also bought cricket tops for the U9 and U11 sides, covered the costs of the indoor venue hire for the All Stars winter programme and enabled the provision of activities for the club’s celebration night.
The outcomes have meant that 60 children have been introduced to cricket for the first time, the teams are progressing into the junior set up playing hard ball cricket and we have ensured a family orientated, inclusive, set up at Barry Athletic Cricket Club. This has resulted in a brand new 2018 U11 cricket team playing in the B league with a professional outlook in their funded matching tops and a fantastic coaching set up encouraging the children to be active, healthy and happy.
