Empowering 14-20 year old musicians in Wales to take their next steps.

As we concluded the pilot phase of our Nurture programme, we were thrilled to host the very first Nurture Showcase on 15th July at Acapela Studios, Pentyrch. The event brought together families, funders, partners, and our incredible Nurture cohort to celebrate the emerging musical talent we’ve had the privilege of supporting.
The evening was hosted by celebrated harpist and Anthem Ambassador Catrin Finch, and featured performances from seven young musicians, as well as a pre-recorded video from a participant who couldn’t attend in person. We also heard reflections from the cohort and our South Wales youth music partners, offering a powerful insight into the impact of the programme so far. After the performances, we welcomed guests to a drinks reception where exciting conversations took place about the future of Nurture. A consistent theme emerged: There is outstanding musical talent in Wales, and we must ensure more young people have access to opportunities like this.

We’re deeply grateful to the 1910 Trust for helping make this first step on the Nurture journey possible. Your support has planted the seeds of something truly special, and we hope this will be the beginning of a lasting relationship as we look to grow and expand the programme.
